We two veteran travelers and avid readers propose to you a very different kind of vacation idea that’s only been around for something like three thousand years, or more.
It seems that in ancient times those that could were in the habit of shutting themselves away from the rumble of daily existence to…contemplate. And to stir their minds, they removed themselves to a particularly lovely, peaceful place to hear from, and converse with, the best writers of their day. It was a respite for thinking and imagining that continued for several days. Some were inspired enough to pick up the pen, themselves.
It’s that old idea of a “mindful” vacation that we wish to make current. And that is most certainly different.
The lovely, peaceful setting is historic Castle Hill Farm. The outstanding authors are contracted. The wine is poured. The table is set. Your invitation is hereby sent.
For our part, we two partners aim to live up to the relaxed yet lofty standards of hospitality for which Castle Hill was and is famous. Our goal will be your pleasure.
